(Review ) Street Wear Stay on Mineral Eyeshadow in Vivacious

“People tell me I’m lively, bouncy, full of spirit… So I guess that means I’m Vivacious, right?”

As hard as it is for to say this, I think I’ll feel better if I say it...

*takes a deep breath*

I don’t know how to choose the right colors for my skin tone.

I think that it’s maybe because I’m so prone to tanning, which basically means that my skin tone changes every day. One day I can be like really strong coffee and a week later I’m like really weak coffee. You get what I’m saying right? It’s because of this phenomenon that I don’t buy foundations. Sigh!

So anyways, when I was in Jammu and Kashmir, in the kinda small town of Udhampur, which sadly didn’t have any cosmetic store (or so I thought), stumbling upon this really huge store with ORIGINAL make up products was amazing. Too bad it was at the end of daddy’s tenure that I found it. Sigh. They even had this huge VOV palette with amazing colors, you know – plum, teal, magenta and the likes of it. And I was so dumb not to take that. Instead I took the pastel, lighter version of the color henna green, so-does-not-suit-my-skin tone Street Wear Stay On Mineral eye shadow in Vivacious. For double that cost I’d have gotten that VOV palette. #Ihatemyselfsometimes

Of course, once I bought this, my mom, (who happens to be an expert in makeup and doesn’t hesitate to point out that she made up eleven brides excluding herself in her entire lifetime), gave me a huge lecture. Thank God though that the party we were supposed to attend cut her short.

The Street Wear Stay on Mineral Eye shadow in Vivacious comes in a translucent bottle, the same color as the eye shadow. There is an applicator attached to the cap of the bottle, but I find the applicator very difficult to maneuver. Its fat and bullet shaped and made of, if I’m not wrong sponge, which can come off anytime. Plus, if you use this applicator there’s guaranteed to be plenty of fall out. I suggest you use a brush… That is, if can find a way to either stick your brush in or get the powder out and then use it. But if you practice for a few times, it gets easier to maneuver the applicator.

The bottle/ Jar

It reads "A long wear Mineral Eyeshadow infused with good for skin minerals."

This eye shadow comes in the form of loose powder which is very easy to apply and blend. The shade itself is as I mentioned before is a pale green, lighter than henna shade. It’s almost pastel. Under certain lighting conditions, it appears to have gold micro glitters but in the daytime it looks almost white. It’s highly pigmented so you don’t have to layer it on. The staying power of this eyeshadow is pretty good, provided you use a primer. Also, if all your products are oil free, the eye shadow does not crease. Even if you use this everyday  it’s going to take you months or years before you can actually complete the whole jar, there’s so much of it! And at 250 INR, it’s pretty cheap.

Over all, I guess I would buy it again but not in this shade.

And FYI guys, I have a huge surprise for you in my next or rather next to next post.

  4. Purchasing the right foundation is not easy, inside store lighting could trick you into purchasing the wrong kind.

  6. Great colour! :) But I never prefer a yellowish shade, I have a dark skin tone so dark colours go awesome for me!
